Come to the Emerald City

This Halloween, make your way to the Albertson Halloween House for a Wizard of Oz themed Halloween experience!  Visitors will pass by Dorothy’s fallen house in Munchkinland, steer clear of a powerful tornado, walk past the Scarecrow’s cornfield and follow the Yellow Brick Road to the Emerald City to get their hearts’ desire.  Interact with the Tin Man, Scarecrow, the Cowardly Lion, Elphaba, Munchkins, Flying Monkeys and more!  You may even get an audience with the Wizard himself.

When: Saturday, October 31st
Hours: 6:00 – 9:00 pm
Address: 497 North 16th Street, San Jose, CA 95112

Additional details:

To keep our visitors safe, we will be passing out glow necklaces (green, of course) in addition to our other items.  Our house is also part of the Teal Pumpkin effort to provide non-food treat options for those who might have allergies.  All ages welcome.

Come on by!

Hi there… Looks like you’ll have a great display. I moved into the area back in Feb. I’m hoping to come by and see your house this year, but since I’ll be manning my own Halloween display that evening, I’m not sure if I can make during your running hours.

Hope you have a great Halloween!

Hi there. I am hosting a Wizard of Oz theme party and am wondering if any of your items are available for rent or sale?

    Thank you,

Hi Carol, I realize that this response is waaaaaay too late (I am guessing you already had your party). So sorry. The messages/comments got caught in a folder and didn’t get to me. So, I realize that this is perhaps way past the party. To answer your question, since we make most of our props out of cardboard (and they are out in the elements for several nights) we are unfortunately unable to keep the majority of the props and sets. That was the case for the Wizard of Oz items, unfortunately. (If it is any consolation, I tried to provide some blog posts on how we made the items out of readily-available materials). Again, thanks for your inquiry and sorry to not have gotten to you sooner. Best regards, Eric Albertson
