Painting Day 2

On Saturday, October 3rd, we had our second community painting day. Friends showed up to help us paint set pieces for the Mandalorian Halloween house. Below are some photos from the day.

Bich and Brian carry one of the large support towers for the Nevarro city scene into the painting station.
Michelle paints the bases for the moisture vaporators. We have used these bases before for other props, and this time they get to be a color that is neither green nor brown!
Gary paints a Star-Wars-y box while Bich and Brian tackle one of the Nevarro towers.
Eric paints rocks (these particular rocks have been a part of the Halloween house for many years). Over the years, they have been painted by kids, and now have many layers of paint on them. We wanted to honor their special place in our Halloween house story, so they will be a part of the forest scene with Grogu.
Weston and Patreece paint a trash can, which magically transforms it into the base of a Nevarro street Star-Wars-y table.
Quick painting day selfie with some of the crew.
All six Nevarro city support towers done! They are 8 ft. high, so high five to Bich and Brian for their painting tenacity.
A few of the props that got painted today, including bases for moisture vaporators, a pipe that will adorn the Nevarro city walls and a Star-Wars-y box.

We had a great time painting, chatting, and catching up. Thanks to those who helped out. We will have one more painting day on Saturday, October 17th, from 9:00 am – noon at our house if you would like to be a part of it. See the How to Help page for more details.
