With the overall shape of the low stone wall cut out, it was time to texture it so that it looked more like a stone wall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I referred to the film for the look of the stonework on the walls. Like many of the design elements in Nightmare Before Christmas, the walls of Halloween Town are very asymmetrical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I used my hot knife’s V-shaped blade to carve the details into the foam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Working my way, ‘stone’ by ‘stone’, I carved the pattern into the foam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

I ended up with 4 segments of the wall. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These will be painted (stay tuned for info about the crew at Options for All who are doing the painting!) and then assembled together when we put everything up. Fun!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
