Some of the set pieces and props needed some detailing to bring them to life, namely the Halloween Town terrain pieces and the pumpkins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To match the art style of the terrain in the movie (which looks like it was sketched), I decided to add thin lines to the gray pieces. I used a thin paintbrush and light gray paint, following the contours of each piece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the pumpkins, I wanted to replicate the look of those from the opening scene of the movie, so I printed out a screen shot of that to use as a reference. I then sketched out the shapes of the face features with a small pen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, I used a larger poster marker to fill in the shapes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
