When families awake on Christmas morning to Jack Skellington’s version of Christmas, they find a number of alarming things! One of those that is shown in the movie is a Christmas present eating snake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To create that snake, I first started with the head. I cut out some cardboard and rolled it into a tube that would be the diameter of the snake. I then cut the mouth shape out of that cardboard and added some cardboard in the mouth area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, I sewed some orange fabric into a tube shape, and pulled it over the cardboard securing it using a hot glue gun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I then sewed additional tubes of fabric and stuffed each of them with stuffing (with leftover fabric from other projects and even some pool noodles!).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I then sewed each of these sections together to create one long snake that ended up being 25 ft. long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, I painted the mouth black and also painted lots<\/em> of black stripes to give it that ‘Tim Burton’ look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, I cut some cardboard into eye shapes and painted them white (and added some pupils with a pen) and attached the eyes to the snake using a hot glue gun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then the snake slithered up into the Christmas tree, waiting to delight children on Christmas morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
