In the series, the Mandalorian meets up with a group of Anzellans and he gets to visit with them again in the Mandalorian and Grogu <\/em>movie. Anzellans are very small mechanics (shorter than Grogu) who are experts at all things electo-mechanical. They can rebuild a droid that has been blown apart, or modify a spaceship so that it flies faster than it was originally designed. In the Mandalorian and Grogu<\/em> movie, we are treated to a glimpse of their spaceship. It is scaled to their size, so it is in fact a very small ship (about the size of a very large bicycle box, for example). Michelle and I realized that I could make a ‘full size’ Anzellan ship for the Halloween house and it wouldn’t take up much of our front yard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To build this ship, I started with, yes, a very large bike box. I get my bike boxes from bike stores where they are just going to be thrown away. Usually, if I ask for one, they are nice and give me as many as I would like. I think it saves them from having to break them down and take them to the recycling dumpster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To get the rounded corners, I traced a large circle in the corners, cut the tops and then folded in and taped the cardboard around the curves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the back rockets, I used some large water containers which I had saved (yay, recycling!). I cut them to fit the back of the box and taped them in place with duct tape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I then took several food containers which I had saved throughout the year and attached them to the top surface of the ship. I cut out a side area and created a lifting door and ramp and flanked this opening with halves of dollar store plastic plates. I cut square holes out of an old plastic pot that would serve as the ship’s cockpit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
