Michelle and I had Kermit and Piggy as the topper on our wedding cake, so when we went to choose which characters we wanted to be for the Muppets themed Halloween house, the choices were easy—I would be Kermit and she would be Miss Piggy. She pondered the various outfits that Miss Piggy wears, but ultimately decided on the ‘biker with boots’ version. We found a pink jacket and matching outfit, but there was just one problem. It had a dog on the back.

Michelle thought that Miss Piggy would have Kermit on the back, so she asked if we could make that change.
To do that, I sourced an image of Kermit’s head, vectorized in in Adobe Illustrator and then brought those vector paths into my laser cut software.

I cut the shapes out of posterboard so I could use that as a template for painting.

I then used fabric paint, painting on to black fabric.

Once it had dried, I cut out around where I had painted and sewed it on to the jacket, covering the dog that had been there.
