Peli Motto is a brilliant starship mechanic who often repairs Din Djarin’s Razor Crest or even builds him a new ship when he needs one. She is protective of Grogu, frustrated with her pit droids, speaks Jawa-ese, and is played by the sassy and hilarious Amy Sedaris. Our friend wanted to be Peli as one of our costumed characters for the Mandalorian themed Halloween house.

I wanted to build this costume and followed a really great Peli Motto cosplay tutorial by Sheila at Red Shoes Red Wine to help me make it. I definitely recommend that site if you want to create a Peli Motto costume of your own.
I started with an orange jumpsuit and hemmed the legs and sleeves.

I then dyed the jumpsuit in brown dye to get it to be closer to the orange-brown of the jumpsuit in the show.

After that, I used brown spray paint to darken the areas of the seams, knees, elbows and anything else that a spaceship mechanic might get dirty in the course of their day.

Peli has some patches on the shoulders of her jumpsuit, so I created these out of gray fabric and stitched them on.

Peli also has a communicator (?) on her lapel. For this, I created some shapes in Adobe Illustrator, which I then cut out on my laser cutter. I glued them together, painted them and added magnetic nametag fasteners to the back to hold the communicator onto the jumpsuit.

With the addition of a large curly brown wig, some brown steampunk fingerless gloves and a toolbelt made of leather pouches, all that was left was for my friend to wear some boots and apply a sassy, spaceship mechanic attitude to bring Peli Motto to life.

You can say hi to Peli on Halloween night!
