Painting Pixar

We have had two Community Painting Days so far this season, and for each one, friends, neighbors, and family members contributed their talents to help create the props and backdrops for this year’s Pixar Halloween house theme. Here are some photos from our time.

Grace and Bethany prepare miniature versions of doors (for the door warehouse) from Monster’s Inc.
Toby and Mackenzie get to work painting the Cars sunshade that will go in our Camry’s windshield (for a nod to another Pixar movie).
We painted Wall-E’s trash cubes (observant viewers might recognize the base Styrofoam cubes as Legos from last year’s Halloween House).
We painted a large Pixar logo and got lots of tiny doors ready for the next step of detailing.
Leslie and Brian put the finishing touches on Boo’s door (and the scream station door holder).
Bich paints details on to the Cars sunshade.
Grace tackles the multi-color paint job for the miniature Up house.
Bich stencils “Paradise Falls” on to a box (which may end up containing a certain Kevin the Bird stowaway).
Steve and Meredith attack the big purple wall (for the Inside Out backdrop).
Bich finishes up the Cars sunshade while Shelly puts final details on the 4-Town logo.

Thanks to everyone who came out to help! Everything looks so great!

If you are interested in being part of a Community Painting Day, we will have one more this season on Saturday, October 15th from 9:00 am – noon. Se our How to Help page for more details. Come on by!
