Painting Middle Earth

On Saturday, September 21, we had our first Community Painting Day for the 2014 Halloween house.  A Fellowship of painters gathered to begin the epic work of crafting Middle Earth.  With Elven grace and Dwarf-ish determination, this merry band painted much of the landscape—the rolling hills of Middle Earth, Mount Doom and even the hidden enchanted gate of Moria.  But not everyone escaped unscathed.  Many participants carried some of the color of the battlefield home with them.  Undaunted, they pressed on and completed the task placed in front of them.
