“But Father, I Just Want to…Paint!”

We had our first of two painting days for this year’s Halloween House. The crew that helped out tore through the projects at a speed rivaling the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow. Here are a few pictured from the day:

Brian tackles the painting of long panels which will eventually be turned into a low, stone wall at the front of the display.
The crew takes a moment while painting to say, “Hi!”
Bethany paints lettering for the “Holy Grail” text while Bich tackles the “Monty Python” text.
Abram and Ephraim focus on painting the white clouds that surround God.
Cristina paints the hand of God (which happens to be holding the Holy Grail).
Hussein paints God’s face.
Bich works on the details of the Black Beast of Aarrrrgggghhh.
At the end of the day, we had lots of painted panels to show. Don’t worry these are just the base coats. There will be more detailed painting and cutting of all of our 2D illustrations (matching the movie) in the weeks to come!

A big THANK YOU to everyone who came out to help! If you would like to be a part of painting backdrops and props for the Monty Python and the Holy Grail Halloween house, we have one more painting day on Saturday, October 21st, from 9:00 am – noon. Click here for more details.
