The Great Hall at Hogwarts features many cool things.  One of the special features is its floating candles.  We decided to include those as part of the house.

After looking at several internet tutorials, we ended up liking one which used dollar store LED candles, hot glue, white paint and invisible thread.

We found some dollar store candles and Bethany took them candles and added hot glue to the area near the ‘flame’ to simulate melted wax.  Then she painted the candles white.

Michelle used a needle to push invisible thread through the tip of the flame to allow it to float.

If you come by on Halloween, see if you can spot them on the porch!
