We wanted to capture the magic of the Muppet Show theater as part of the Halloween House, and what’s more iconic than the Muppet Show sign hanging in front of long red curtains? But, how to make that sign…

We started, as we often do with large pieces, by projecting the design on to large cardboard and then tracing the outlines with a large pen.

At our Community Painting Day, several folks took turns painting the sign. This ended up taking a looong time as there was lots of detail painting to be done while bending over to reach the middle of this large sign.

At our next Community Painting Day, several folks undertook the task of cutting out the sign so it is ready to hang!

On Halloween night keep an eye on the large space within the “O.” You may see a one of the crazier Muppets taking up residence there.
