Detailing!

Some of the set pieces and props needed some detailing to bring them to life, namely the Halloween Town terrain pieces and the pumpkins.

To match the art style of the terrain in the movie (which looks like it was sketched), I decided to add thin lines to the gray pieces. I used a thin paintbrush and light gray paint, following the contours of each piece.

For the pumpkins, I wanted to replicate the look of those from the opening scene of the movie, so I printed out a screen shot of that to use as a reference. I then sketched out the shapes of the face features with a small pen.

Then, I used a larger poster marker to fill in the shapes.
